Governing Board

The Governing Board oversees the institute's overall function and direction, including assessing alignment of strategic priorities, contributing to advocacy and communication, supporting fundraising and sustainability planning, approving budgets and enabling the external review process.

Primary Goal

The Governing Board oversees the overall function and direction of the Research Institute.

The Vice-President (Research), in consultation with the Director and the Governing Board, is responsible for constituting an External Review Board at least every five years.

Membership

The Governing Board is chaired by the Vice-President (Research) and comprises, at a minimum, the Deans (or designates) from faculties that have principle roles in the insitute's success.

Frequency of Meetings

The Governing Board meets at least once a year, or more frequently at the discretion of the Vice-President (Research).
